But my $44 was spread out on 4 separate bets trying to cover a few different margins.
I had $20 on NSW to win by 7-12 @ $7. Just missed out on that one, would've won $140.
Had $5 on NSW to win by 7 points for a $155 payout. We won by 4.
Also had $5 on NSW to win by 8 for a $105 payout.
And my winning ticket had $14 on NSW to win by 1-6 points at $6.25 for a $87.50 payout.
So, I was just 50 cents short of doubling my $44 to $88.
Morgs, like you I am trying to decide whether to save it for Origin 2 @ Homebush, or back Parra to beat the Panthers on Friday night. I guess a lot depends on whether Hayne will back up or be rested. We have a poor record without Hayne. But if Hayne is definitely gonna play, I'll be very tempted to put my winnings on Parra.
Maybe I'll put half of it on Parra 7-12, and the other half on Parra 13-18. But being at Penrith, and considering they're in the same position as us on the ladder and they wouldn't want to give that up on home soil, you'd have to cover Parra at 1-6 and the Panthers at 1-6 as well just as a bit of insurance.
Morgs, you must have put your $42 on NSW head 2 head to win your $115, did you ? Or did you back NSW 1-12 ?
If I got $87.50 from a $14 bet on NSW 1-6, imagine how much more you could've won for a $42 bet on the same margin. It's tougher trying to pick a 1-6 win or 7-12, 13-18, or 19+ winning margin but it pays a lot more.
