Hey guys, i know we have lost Mateo for 2011 but with the news that Manakufoa is almost certain to sign with us, Lee Te Mari in good form for wenty and the emergence of Justin horo in the top grade, our back row stocks look healthy for 2011, solid depth. I was one of the people who was excited at the possibility of signing luke odonell however with the below back rowers which will be at our disposal next year, i would be grooming a prop from the lower grades and splashing out on a solid hooker or half back with any left over money. What do you guys think?
Back row:
Hindmarsh
B Smith
Shackleton
Lee Te Mari
Manase Manakufoa
Justin Horo
Brendan Oake

Yes you could also also add danny howard and pat O'hanlon in there although the point of my post was to highlight the depth of our back row stocks but also more to highlight the quality of them, the players i have mentioned besides probably Horo have all had quite a bit of first grade expirience now. You dont want to be throwing i alot of rookies in that position as they tend to prove defensive liabilities within their breaking into first grade..
Especially of Shak takes a good 6 months to find form after such a major injury.
and some fool who cant make the Cowboys line up
Need to resign Horo he and Mannah are the bright spots in 2010. PS does anyone realise we cant score points !! Its not our forwards
Secondly... You cant just say it has nothing to do with our forwards and that we are simply not scoring points. If your forwards arent dominating and getting a roll on, they can not create space for the halves and backs to play some footy.
Also, Look at the teams like the dragons, manly and melbourne for eg, who have good and dynamic back rowers.. they are the ones who create tries too eg B Creagh poking his head out on the fringes of the ruck and getting the offload away to link with his centres and winger. Back rowers create alot of tries in modern football. Wake up to yourself..
Then can I point out to you the massive inconsistency in your blog. You start by telling me how brilliant Hindy is off the ball in defence and I agree with you 100%. My point is he cant hit it up and he runs the ball forward as if he is using a zimmer frame.
You go on to talk about dynamic backrowers and how they create a lot of tries !!!! Well guess what pal Hindy aint doing that. I really have no idea of your view other than I agree our backrowers lack punch. Other than you being a blind loyalist to our aging champ Hindy we are in 100% agreement.
Or are you saying that list of backrowers looks good to you ?
