Gutho had 1 bad game and everyone's into him. He was the only player that was trying. Quick 20 restart and he had no one was running with him. He scored our only try and he would've scored another one but sivo decided to take the tackle, and don't forget the professional foul jake t did to him he would've scored another one. Our captain gives us 8's and 9's every other week.
It's a loss we're allowed to lose even if it was a shocker we can learn from this. Everyone knows manly are red hot and there's no stopping a turbo untill it blows (does his hammy). Back our boys next week it will be a big game against south's after a 50 point thrashing this game will test us.

Gutho was very good tonite. The amount of work he did out the back was huge. Basically our 4,2,5, 6 were nothing more than cannon fodder. WE need to buy some speed and /or a highly polished 5/8. Sivo dead set jogged twice when in a hole. Wouldnt do Semi R shoelaces up.

Our spine all had ordinary games at best today, we were off our game and manly were on theirs. There is no need to panic, the only change that is necessary is waqa blake has to go. I would tinker with the team a little if it was up to me, niukore back to centre to replace waqa, lane back to right edge with matterson to left edge. Papalii back to bench for impact, I would probably bring rankin into 6 to replace Jacob as well but I'm a little undecided about that.
Agree with those changes HKF, although I’d leave Matterson where he is. I thought his post contact metres were about the best on field.
I still think the team are a bit fragile, add a couple of defensive weak links like JA and Waqa and we lose our composure. Will be good to have Nikiore back next week, and agree Rankin should come in to sure up the defense. Better off giving Jacob some game time against the bottom 8 teams.
The reason I would move matterson to the left is i believe he is part of the defensive issue on the right, it seems when matterson and waqa are together regardless of which half is between them we are getting caught jamming in.

Look at the replay, Nathan Brown busted his ass as did Papali'i and Paulo, those guys played well, whilst the rest may not have been at their best they did give their all. We were beaten by a better side on the day that had a lot to play for....
