I reckon the NRL would be very happy to see us take the title this year. We are off to Homebush and for that reason alone the NRL will be very keen for us to start the year on a good note and show immediately that we will be competitive.
I'd go so far as to say that if they could pick a winner they may well choose us ;)
Not sure what the book makers are saying, but we would have to close to being favourites with the squad we've got. Both starting halves, fullback, Semi on the wing. We are going to be very tough to beat. Dragons and Manly in our pool so we are basically assured of progressing. We will be meeting either Warriors or Cowboys in the final I think.
There's an old Skyhooks song "Why Dontcha All Get *ucked". Maybe we should run out to that.
I actually think now that the NRL wanted us to hit rock bottom so that we had no choice but to re-build. The NRL needs a strong Parramatta if it is to succeed into the future.
