BA speaks to the media ahead of Saturday's game

Summary-

We're embarrassed but we've bashed ourselves enough now for last week, so it is time for us to move forward and be the team we can be.
"I need Jarryd to share the role equally" -French & Hayne to share FB responsibilities this weekend. Hayne not permanently FB.
Mitch Moses was talking to Will Smith not the ref when he got binned
"Not Bevan's fault that game we didnt hold the ball or have to make 200 tackles".
"When we do defence right, the attack will be a lot more fluent.
Re: Sharks " they're tough, they're resilient, theyre going to make us play for 80 minutes and thats what we need"
"Its about coming up with a performance we can be proud of"

This is a big problem this shared FB garbage.

Whats the point of having a FB who doesnt have the ability to play 80 minutes there?

Brads had all off season to work on this, he announced during the off season that French would be our FB and he was looking to make that his role full time into the future.

It turns out hes got too many weaknesses to play there and he needs another player to cover for him.

I would put Will Smith at FB until Guth comes back.

  I agree. Give Hayne a full 80 minutes at fullback so we can see what he does. French had a shocking game at fullback so it is time for a change anyway. Guth will be fullback eventually so they are just filling in until he returns.

  Kenny and Ella used to share the 5/8 role on many occasions. Done well on set pieces it can work out, especially if Hayne doesn't have the stamina to play FB for 80min which I suspect could be the case. I agree though that for the good of the team we need to bed this down. The sooner Gutho comes back the better.

  I wonder if he's just saying things to let French down gently. He can't be serious when he says they'll share the role 50/50.
  
  It hasn't worked, make the change. I'd be surprised if they do actually end up sharing on Saturday night. If they do, BA's def punchin cones.

  Agree, leave JH in the centres where he has been playing just fine there is no issues with JH at centre. Put Bev on the wing and Smith back to 1 where he played good last year for the final weeks.

  I don't think he effed up so much as he just, he didn't impart the full story (which BA did earlier today). Corey is not exactly media man of the year, he gets nervy in front of the cameras.

With the exception of the sharing fullback nonsense, I thought BA handled this pretty well. He's very good at showing the players he has their backs. He could have easily conceded Semi's been a loss, but he played it v cleanly - he's showing his trust and belief in the current squad. I just hope they respond.
