*Obviously wasn't the performance you were chasing there?*
"Yeah, look disappointing, played umm pretty dumb at times did some silly things on the field. Thought the effort was there, i know the scoreline doesnt reflect it but when you're putting yourself under that much pressure with some dumb things that we did, not playing as a team"
*Preparation play a big part in that do you think?*
"Nah, it's not an excuse. The roosters had to do the same as us get on a flight and come up here, it's...yeah, they probably made some errors early as well, both teams settled a bit more in the second half in terms of their completions but we just did some dumb things at the wrong time and had a couple of opportunities to get a couple of tries maybe if it goes to 12-6 it may give us more energy with the ball, more confidence but didn't happen.
*It looked like in the first 20 minutes it was going Parramatta's way, what happened after that? What did you say to them at half-time?*
"Like i said, i just think we did some dumb things. We probably played a bit sideways, i thought we started really well in the second half and would've been nice to, like i said, be first to score and to give that bit of extra energy and confidence but it wasn't and from there we compounded by doing dumb thing after dumb thing."
*And you guys are on a COVID camp on the Sunshine Coast, how are you finding that?*
"Yeah look, it's what it is. We are just grateful the we umm, get the opportunity to keep playing and keep the competition going....ummm there is plenty of people that are stuck in Sydney in way worse conditions than us. We have a job to do, we didn't do it tonight and we need to be better next week."
*And how did you find your trip up to the sugar city?* (for some reason they asked that)
"yeah it was good (chuckles), yeah we got the hospitality was great, umm put up at Souths? (looks at reporters who assure him it is Souths) yeah Souths leagues and they looked after us before the game so yeah we got no complaints. And like i said, definately no excuses."
*And that's some pretty tough two losses for you now, you have a pretty hard run into the finals. How do you plan to get the boys back up for that?*
"Yeah, there's nothing we can do about it right now, we just need to go back and recover and then have a look at some video and then gotta move onto our next opposition. Souths, which is, they're a tough opposition. So, like i said, when we play as a team, you know....we majority of the time can win those games i just thought we played as individuals tonight and done some dumb things."
*Campbell-Gillard left the field pretty early, how's he going?*
"uhhh, he's got a groin strain i think. But uhh, yeah that didn't help but it's still like it's footy, you know you gotta fight through those umm through those times. Yeah, i thought our effort was ok, but just too many dumb things (grimace on face)
*There's been a few teams struggling with injuries in this late stage in the season, how are the Eels going?"
Yeah, no we're alright, we are pretty good."
*Pretty confident?*
"Yep."
End of presser.

He said dumb a lot, wonder who he was referring to?
Perhaps ahaha
We are always dumb. Whos job is it to change that?
In not sure if his offensive taunts are being aimed towards certain individuals or at the style the team played as the style reflects mainly on what Arthur drives at training.. id say the latter ...therefore Ba is only reflecting on his own shortcomings when he uses this childish language towards the team. He can't even articulate why we are going nowhere yet again .
Any Board would listen to that... after what was seen... and conclude right, we're done here.
Summary - thought the effort was there but we did some dumb things.
Imagine a Storm game like that (not that they would play like that) - reckon Bellamy would say 'the effort was there'?
Trent Robinson would call them out, that's the difference tonight. Roosters are one of the best coached teams in the NRL that's why injuries dont matter to them and how they are still competitive with them injuries.
