Dunster defensive reads today were actually good but his tackles were dead set shit. He had the tackle technique of W Blake with his arm grabbing.
I am not hating on him. I actually do see him as our future winger. He has decent PCM and carries. People need to remember when we lost to Panthers 8-6 or something like that in the semis couple years ago, we did that with him on the wing and W Blake inside of him. All the traffic went their way and they defended well. So clearly he can defend.
Last week in cup, Dunster made 0 tackles, missed 3 tackles and made 2 errors. Hardly a peformance to deserve a call up to first grade. Then in the post match conference today, BA said he sprained his ankle in thhat cup game and only trained once in the week on Saturday. Idk if he meant this week or in the year in general, but BA said that Dunster first time training with the NRL team. Regardless, WTF is BA thinking of playing Dunster when he is coming back from one of the worst injuries ever (ruptured ACL, MCL and PCL all at once), is low in confidence and still building his way back into reserve grade let alone NRL. He has only made Dunsters confidence arguably even worse with his mistackles and errors today. Why on earth would BA not put W Blake on the wing instead when he was great there last year. So many of us fans and other experts know that W Blake cant pass and thus should play wing since he clearly has great atheltic abilities. Yes W Blake was shit today in reserve grade but thats at centre. Put the guy on the wing. Now BA needs to decide whether to give Blake a go on the wing next week or stick with Dunster.
P.S I thought Russel was even a bit iffy defending at centre. However, he deserve another opportunity as he too has barely trained and played footy games due to injury.
If neither Russel, Blake or Dunster can play at NRL standards in their position, BA needs to put Simonson at centre and Russel on the wing.

Dunster is obviously under done. But there is a very good footballer there. I just hope the injury hasn't hampered his mobility and/or has made him tentative. He needs more time in reserve grade. I'd be playing Blake on a wing and basically telling him he's not allowed to pass.
I actually think Simonson at centre and Russell at wing could be the way to go. Waqa should even take sivo's place if he doesn't start running hard like he should
Yes Sivo was shit last week but he is far away from our urgent problems. Him and Penisini our definites in the line up. The other centre and wing spot is up from grabs. Russel and Simonson fighting for centre. Blake, Dunster and Russel (again ik) fighting for the wing spot.
Sivo is one of my favorite players but he's not cutting it this year. I recon he has cost us 2 games this year. Defensively he has no idea and he's running slow and soft. I really hope he can pick his game up we need him to be better

Even with 1 eye he's better. He's faster than the current wingers, has good hight advantage, breaks the line of defence with his returns, is reasonably good defensively. Brad Arthur should have stayed with him
Defensively he wasn't in a position to tackle anyone.
He made a lot of errors. He made 2 in the first 6 minutes. From that point his confidence was shot. Penisini and moses had no confidence in passing the ball to him after that. The only other option is to put Russell to wing.
Heard of W Blake mate? Played pretty good on the wing last year.
