  Agree. I know it's only the 9's but someone's gotta have the best defence and after day 1 it's the Blue and Gold....

  Yep agree it was a standout for me. I know it's only the 9s but I haven't seen the eels sliding defence be effective since god knows when probably near 10 years our wingers have been caught short. It's a good sign that in this format where so much relies on your defence shifting that they are killing it!!!

  When you compare today's performances to this time last year, the intensity of Parra's defence and attack seems to have noticeably lifted. BA might be building something greater than we anticipated here.

  It will be interesting to see how we go if we play the Cowboys. The Cowboys have a lot of speed out wide, and the Eels appear to be using a compressed line: up quick, leave space out wide, slide in cover. Containing sheer speed in cover might be the test of that defensive structure.

    You are completely correct ,although BA may tweek that compression in Defence V the Cowboys to combat there speed ,otherwise it will be a real litmus test for our boys and his defensive structures,Carn the Mighty Eels......!
