  • BA has been putting his own interests before the club for a decade so he isn't going to stop now .

    • Funnily he makes a point that it's  a result driven business,  our hierarchy have obviously  just ignored that. If this was the English  premier league he'd  have been sacked eight years ago

  • Brad knows if he gets punted he is out of a job.

Apart from Souths, no one needs a new coach especially one as limited as BA.

    • Only for the year, 2026 he will favourite for most, if not all jobs that would come available.

My only fear is if he gets a job and MA turns out good will Matt follow him eventually.

      • BA in demand?? Haha cmon man seriously.

He's won nothing in 11 years....

I wouldn't fear that, if we get Bennett or who ever id say hooker would be a priority and we might buy an already made substitute not another 'jnr' with promise

        • A lot of clubs would kill for a coach with 250+ games of experience. BA is a good coach. He's got a more than 50% winning record. He's not going to take us to a premiership, but consistent finals is what some clubs would like.

You could argue that Souths might be interested, Bulldogs and Titans could all be in the market in the next year or so.

While I think BA's time is coming to an end at Parramatta, I don't think he's a terrible coach. Just that he's been here too long to take the club to the next level.

  • I suspect BA won't be in the NRL after he finishes at the eels. He won't be an assistant because he won't take orders and be second fiddle to a head coach.

    • He will get another head coaching job as let's be fair how we were as a club in 2014 to now is night and day, he has had a massive hand in that. Clubs like GC if they were looking would love that. He will get another job for sure and think he does deserve another shot elsewhere.

    • I think BA is a good coach and his coaching career is far from finished. Pending how the Titans go this year, they would be talking to BA if he became available.

As much as it hurts to say I think Eels will finish in the bottom 6 in 2024. And that should be the death knell for BA at the Eels. He should be given the season 2024 no matter how bad we go.

If we can land Wayne Bennet great, if not then chase Josh Hannay or John Morris.

The noise is getting louder on BA,s future. For mine a decision needs to be made by mid season. BA has been great for Parramatta, but his reached his peak with this team and now we're sliding backwards.

    • It wouldn't surprise me if the eels did win. Eels have 2-3 excellent games in them a season.
