ahh yes..
the continual 1 out running inside our own half or as BA likes to call the 'power game' and going to the collision
...vs the side to side attack in the red zone where we almost completely abandon the power game. Melbourne base their whole red zone attack off the power game and we've used it occasionally with Junior off Mahoney and RCG.
As Gus said during the call it's something we need to swap around against good teams. Be a little more adventurous coming out of trouble and use the power in the red zone. It's crazy BA, Murph and whoever have stuck to this for the main part of a decade. We flat out cannot score against good sides unless its off kicks.

I much prefer Fiji ball over BA ball.
So you would like us to throw it around and take risks inside our own half in slippery conditions?
thank god you are not our coach.
Agreed. Penrith did that and coughed it up a few times. Gould is a fool, and a wise men would not give him the time of day.
Gould is a fool is he ? A bloke who has won premierships and state of origins as head coach, fair dinkum, what have you won ?.
Have you ever heard the dribble that comes out of his mouth? That makes him a foolish person.
I think it's the fool who sits there and listens to a person who they think dribbles, has a problem.
By the way Joey agreed with him, our attacking style, and one out from our red zone will Ioose us a few more games.
No ones saying go throw the ball around but using every runner as a battering ram isn't it either .
Gus made the point that our forwards are often gassed from the work they do in yardage and concede soft try's in the 20. It's hard to argue with it.
The yardage game is another example of what works against the physically inferior teams but isn't good enough against the big boys. It's far too simplistic and our runners were getting hammered for the most part last night . Shout out to Matterson , Papalii and especially RCG who went toe to toe .Nathan Brown is all effort but at least half of it is wasted with being offside on his line speed , a flop or holding on too long in the tackle, We have a ways to go.. There's still many Qs around BA and his staff for mine.
I liked how we moved the ball last year, our attack has gone backwards. This is where someone gives a stat about how many points we've scored this year. My counter to that is we have the most trys off kicks in the NRL and a lot of them have been similar to last night where it's put it up and hope for some luck.
It's quite simple stuff. Instead of having a one out run have two runners when not gaining ground. Penrith did this really well against us. The nicest one was when Api sent the pass and Leota looked like he was going to catch it, threw his hands out and on purpose let it go past him to the next man.
