I was one calling for his head after last season and I gotta say we were a much improved squad he did a fair job .
Going into this offseason he has the squad he wants . One of the few coaches in the league with that luxury . But we really HAVE to improve in a number of areas. I felt we were a long way off the pace in 2017 and results during origin and a bit of luck masked that . We went into 2018 doing much the same we did the year before and got exposed.
Tonight , we were again exposed .. just as we have been a number of times away from Bankwest .We were a long long way off the pace . We didn't have any idea how to break down their defence and looked to have no game plan . We hadn't done any homework on their set plays (in particular from the scrum ) and instead of treating periods like that as a contest we just go through the motions . Our plays were very predictable and the sort of attack that only works against bad defence .
Moses has shown this year he can control and manage a game when we're in front , but when we're behind he has no idea . Straight into panic mode .
The Storm looked like they've practiced situationally what to do when they have a man in the bin. We didn't .
Our away record is deplorable , which is the main reason why we face the almost impossible task of winning a sudden death game in Melbourne .
We have a long long way to go . I just hope BA doesn't go into next year with the attitude that when we play our best we can beat anyone and we're not far off . We need to continue to develop as inviduals and as a team . The coaching needs to improve .
We have a good squad next year and a heap of teams have instability and mismatch rosters . We have an opportunity to kick on but we need to really build on this season . Let's hope we do!

I just hope BA makes the players tattoo this scoreline on thiemselves so that they remember what the fuck they are playing for.

This is my concern that they will see only positives out of this year and expect natural improvements.
One thing i know for true regardless of the sport or in life no one improves focusing on positives.
We had some embarrassing losses and those defeats painted a clearer picture of where we are as a team

BA needs to learn from his approach after 2017. The 'on our day if we play our best footy.....' aint it. We're closer to ability to 15th than to matching it consistently week in week out with the top 4. but there's an opportunity to develop again into next season and strive to be up there with the best. We build something this year, but as we saw in 2018 if we rest on it it can crash down quickly.
All in all we've come along way this year. There's a lot more work to do!
