The Roosters, even with their unlimited salary cap and two grand final appearances in as many years, thanked their members tonight by running out through a banner with 16,758 plastered across it. I have no doubt a large portion of those memberships were paid for and handed out by Uncle Nick and Mr Gyngell, as is the Rorters way of doing business and balancing figures.
I don't need to rehash our woes of the past, present and yet another year of not seeing finals football, but yet again we set a club record just shy of 23,000 members.
I really hope the club does something special to acknowledge and pay tribute to our members in the final game of the year at Pirtek Stadium v Raiders.
