  • Australia says yes for Aids, this country has become an absolute embarrassment.

    • Mate I am so pissed off
    • X3
    • Alan, just a couple of questions:
      a) Do you honestly believe only gay people contract/spread aids?
      b) Even if a was true (which it obviously is not), how would legalizing same sex marriage make the rates of aids contraction increase? Do you think gay people don't have sex now and are awaiting marriage to let loose of their 'aids' or do you think they will sleep around more when they are able to commit to their partners?
      c) How will any of this affect your life?
  • Need to remember the vote is not legally binding, so the parliament can turn around and not support the result.

    • They'd be committing political suicide if they did and recent surveys of MPs indicate majority support in both houses anyway.

    • Nah, blockhead, that was only going to be an option if the NO vote won!

  • YES YES YES.

    • Winner winner chicken dinner !!
      Love a good wedding!!
    • The result everyone knew would happen. Now we finally join the rest of the civilized world that put this to bed ages ago. About time we let people be happy!
