Aussie Holidays

I have to admit that I'm a fan of Christmas holidays and not just because of the time off. We're a week out, tree is up, carols playing and lights are up. Kids are excited, people are smiling and prepping for good food and drinks. Carols by candlelight and Christmas lights still to comeNow most of this is my upbringing in a Christian family. Happily holding onto the best of Christian traditions. If we were to be 100% PC and we weren't able to celebrate these Christmas beliefs how would most on here feel? I know some here have pretty strong Christian beliefs but surely Christmas is one of the positives that you are happy to join in on.Do you do carols by candlelight? Do you do mass with family? Where do you draw the line? Are we a chance of losing Christmas in the future?Interested in your thoughts and MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILIES

  • Lights on the house , kids do Chrissy songs , tree , etc , all the normal stuff . Unless the kids are learning it at school , we don't to the whole Jesus birthday speech . It's just a time to celebrate being a family for us .

My house it's lit up like a major city , but that's just because I wanna out do every other bloke on my street .

I feel very very strongly about upholding our rights to call it Christmas and totally resent schools and organisations that I fund bowing down to these fuckkkwits that are hell bent on taking it away .if I lived in the Whacko Clover Moore Islamic Sydney I'd be down at her office dressed as Santa demanding a refund for my contribution to the anti Christian flags she's put up in the joint .

It's about time we all band together and start being offended by the word Ramadan .
    • This would be my effort if you were my neighbour

    • I'm offended by them replacing the word Christmas. Are they now considering renaming Christmas Island? What's next?
  • Yeah haha seen that before .
  • Haha good point , how funny that all these future offendeds start their new life of welfare dependancy on Christmas Island . Maybe you're onto something there . If we change the name to " Happy Holidays Island " maybe they'll leave Christmas alone .

  • I never did lights either . This year the kids begged me so I just got a few and then the testosterone kicked in .
  • I got lights , just enough not griswald territory. We go to mass and sometimes carols in the park . Normal Aussie Christmas with drinks and continues to Boxing Day w outlaws more drinks n cricket plus swimming
    • Did it cost much to have a man come round and install the lights for you ?
      • Men don't install anything for me I am self servicing
