Attitude

Last nights game hopefully teaches these young fellas two invaluable lessons.1: they are good enough to dish it up and run over the top form club in the comp at the moment. Up until the 56th minute, they were a team that could win a premiership. All the tries were classy tries, skilful tries that exite fans and show this team has spades of talent and potential.2: never clock off! You could visibly see it. Probably a bit tired but they didn't have a reason to be, if anything it was the Cowboys who should have been busted. But for 7 minutes they were basically already in the sheds celebrating, long enough for 3 tries in 6 minutes. . Against a team with a player like JT you just can't do that. Thankfully they woke up enough in the last ten otherwise it would have been 60-30.Hopefully it's a lesson they learn. It's never in the bag, if your 24 points up with 10 to go, you need to score again!

  • I am not sure if anyone else heard the 2SM sport show this afternoon. North Qld forward Gavin COOPER was on and discussing the big win over Parramatta.  He basically said that our Big forwards got tired and they knew if they hung in there they would finish over the top of us. He said that Parramatta played the power game and ' they got tired ".   He sounded like a honest decent bloke and was not big noting but saying it as he saw it. God help what they will do to us in round 2 up in Townsville on their home ground, warm conditions and starting the run home towards a possible minor premiership.  I am going up there for 4 days and I have already conceded that I will be going home disappointed.
