I don't agree with everything he does and says but the bloke has done a great job with what he's built at Penrith.
Not only did he release overpaid players and cop criticism but he sacked Cleary before problems happened when he could see his voice becoming stale. It was a bold move at the time and he stood firm. Now they're seeing the results.
Waiting to sack BA will set us back further. A new coach should be being identified now so he can be involved in recruitment and retention decisions and draw a line in the sand for what is expected going forward.
Matt Cameron, former Parramatta Assistant Coach to Brian Smith, highly credentialed and experienced runs the football program out at Penrith. We should be chasing him to be our Football Department Manager.
Bernie has no business being Head of Football. Absolutely none.
Guys who’ve spent their entire adult lives running Football Departments successfully are what we should have. To be the best we must have the best people working in the best set up.
Frank Ponissi, Matt Cameron, people of that calibre. Not a CFO who’s spent the past 15 years out of the industry living in another country. That’s not personal it’s just common sense.
"I have been highly critical of the decision and have copped a little blow back for it, let's see in 12 months time with the eels heading into the 2027 season if they don't have a definitive answer on who will be our long term 6 if the people…"
"I highly doubt the eels will take him back but they won't let him play for another nrl team for the next 3 years, he is going to have to find a home in rugby, he has made his bed so must now sleep in it.
To be honest I hope he fails miserably, it…"
"Hypothetical question. Say Lomax doesn't go to R360 would we have him back or is he gone forever despite his release saying can't go to league for 4 years "

Phils spot on, Brads been worked out, he refuses to change and hes got no plan B anyway.
Ive watched every presser this year, its so obvious that Brads the big issue here its not funny, its impossible to have any more sympathy for him.
Brads cooked at this club, he will not be rising from the ashes, hes just hurting the club now and needs to go.
Or either that he keeps bringing the Under 10s clipboard to work instead of the Adults.

Bernies argument would be that he costs too much and he can do the job cheaper unfortunately.
That’s exactly his argument.
