He's still lengths better than anyone else we have in the country. Bancroft is barely club standard.

Our capt and keepers a beta cuck who is poor with the bat, should have bought Carey in, hes got a huge future and can bat.
Paine is the modern day Brealey Snake, only got the captaincy because hes a good bloke. The Timmy Mannah of Aussie cricket.
Yeah, I remember CA putting him through a leadership training course something like 10 years ago, they identified him as a future Australian captain, but even then he could barely get a game for Tassie. He's clearly a company man, that's why they like him.
He should be done for after this series. Can't bat to save his or anyone's life.
If CA have half a brain they'll give the captaincy back to Smith who must serve a 2 year non-captaining penalty. There is basically no one else good enough to lead. The only other player I would consider would be Nathan Lyon who isn't a fast bowler to break down as they used to.
