  Be stupid not to be after a talent like that. Don't matter if we "already have someone there", who is to say we can't have both players in the side? Eventually someone in the backline will drop out and be replaced.
  
  Even if we don't "need" him, wouldn't it still be good strategy to drive up his price anyway? =p

    I've always wondered why we don't throw out hat in to drive the price and rescind the offer if we turn out to be the highest bidder. I guess it would piss player managers off, but fuck those guys.
