America has been busy.

Surely England is rated 1st!! Conquered most of the world. Anyone know in order who has fought most wars?? Can't find anything on the internet.

  • Meanwhile in football land, the Parramatta Eels are training hard for the 2015 season. Can they better there 2014 position of 9th on the ladder? Will Hayne be missed so much that there season over before it begins. Auckland 9's will show the flare & depth they have. Stay tune!!!!
    • Agree!!
  • Not conspiracy. Delusion. As I've said before have a look at council of Nicea for a good summation of how the origins of the modern day bible were cherry picked by old toffs and how many books that weren't inline with what the then church wanted the christian message to be were turfed as 'hearesy'.

  • WW2 fact. America joined the war to defend England (supply 50 naval ships) on 2 conditions, England hand over 8 air and naval military bases throughout the Commonwealth and top secret information on weapons. Nice way to make a profit from a war.
  • Miatch,I take it you a follower of one of the newer feel good denominations and feel that any silly things like historical accuracy are for others. The Council  Of Nicaea is real.It was convened by the Roman Emperor Constantine the Great,in Nicaea,Asia Minor (modern Turkey) in AD 325.Their purpose was to standardise Christianity and which of the thousands of versions of the biblical texts were to be included into the standard Bible.

This is why it is laughable the way certain people fetishise the Bible and believe it to be the literal word of god.The language of the text was in Greek and Latin. Not in the words of Joseph Smith,or the King James  version. If you must follow any denomination at least the Eastern Orthodox and Latin Catholic Faiths are closest to the original Christianity. My view of religion is well known, but I'd rather follow a book straight from the horse's mouth, not it's arse.

The comedy series Red Dwarf took this to extremes as the family of one of the characters ,Rimmer, were Seventh Day Adventhopists. In their version of the Bible, there was a typo in the phrase,"Faith, hop and charity, and the greatest of these is hop".

Monty Python captured it best in "The Life of Brian",where Brian's followers are divided into those who follow The Holy Gourd,or the others who follow the Holy Sandal.

    • Blessed are the cheesemakers!

  •  MAX :    Man did not come from apes.  Darwin never wrote that  he did. What he wrote was that man and apes came from a common ancestor. Darwin`s detractors (and some of his supporters) have never read Darwin! and never will!    Ignorance is bliss.

  • Another response that proves that in evolutionary terms people like Monto will soon be overtaken intellectually by the apes.Monto ,I refer you to Robert Lloyd's response,a few posts above your post.Read it and digest it's message.

  • Lol Fongy you remind of a bloke at my old work who referred to his wife only as 'The Plaintiff' haha

  • Monto, at the risk of morphing into that other blog and giving my fellow Christians a dose of the $hits, the Koran is probably the most authentic book, far more so than the bible. It was dictated by the prophet, who was illiterate, he was recounting the message from God as given to him by the arch angle (angel, he he) Gabriel. So it had one author, not as the bible. Pls 1eyed followers of Islam correct me if this is incorrect.
