Are there no hard rock bands left??

I've come to lament the state of music these days. I know as we get older that it happens that we don't apppreciate our parents musical generation. However as someone born in 1980 and loving Metallica guns n roses nirvana etc. I still appreciate the likes of led zeppplin, black sabbath, pink flits and even the Beatles. What I feel is the difference is that we may have different musical tastes to our parents but the core of musicianship still remained. These days half the acts can't even play an instrument let alone sing without auto tune!!! So I ask you which hard rock acts are worth listening to who have formed past 2000?!? Foo fighters, chill is, gunners, Metallica are all pre this time and I won't even dignify mi post 2005 nickel back with an answer...

  • Trivium, avenged sevenfold, disturbed, rival sons, black label society there's a tone out there you will appreciate that arrived in the 2000's.
  • Geez you've named some poor bands there Baron.
LARD are putting out a new album. They make the bands you have listed sound like Wa Wa Née.
  • Rival Sons, Royal Blood, The Black Keys prior to their last album, Jack White (his stints with The Raconteurs is pretty good). Lots of early-Zep influences in these bands.
  • Not post 2000 but released only a couple of months ago...

  • These blokes were a major influence on Cobain, Baron..

  • Ahh Pussy Riot much?
  • Music has gone downhill so fast it' not funny. The great bands like Creedence Clearwater Revival and the Eagles were absolutely phenomenal. There has not been another band to challenge them. End of music history.

I almost puke when Pink or Lady Gaga come on.

    • with ya speedy

  • Try Tremonti and Alter Bridge. Alter Bridge is ex Creed members with Myles Kennedy on lead vocals, they aren't like Creed, Tremonti is the same guitarist (Mark Tremonti) and did his own solo work which is heavier again and in my opinion better than Alter Bridge.
Depends on what you like though, alot of good heavier bands out there but it sounds like you prefer radio friendly mainstream stuff.
