Are the Parramatta Eels a mess? LOL

* Sandow crashing cars on game day and not performing on the field

* Kenny Edwards avoiding drug testing because he took a sleeping tablet *cough cough*

* Internal fighting before and during club elections

* Not last on the table only because the Storm scored 28 points against Parra, not 30 points.

* Parra could sign Todd Carney according to rumours??? LOL

* Watmough not performing to his full potential

* Peats having an ordinary season compared to last year

* Norman! LOL

I'm sure there are more issues I have not mentioned.

Would you consider this diabolical?

  • BA is failing as a coach !!!!

cant teach defence / poor team selection/ 2nd tier rubbish excuses / sharps is out overseas having a great holiday/ eels trying to secure more old farts/ 3 grades at bottom of the pile / eels thinking of getting fat cheerleaders to cut costs.

  • We are where we deserve to be and our season is going accordingly to the effort that we are putting on the field. Not much you can do about the off field stuff except take sharps word that he and is team will do all they can to Silence the disruptive ex board members and critics. I'm sure we'd have less critics if we were winning more games mind you.
  • Stuff like this only surfaces if we are losing.
If we were winning, nothing would of been said.
Media loves kicking team when their down, and right now my friends, we are down!
    • "Stuff like this only surfaces if we are losing" - which means stuff like this gets brought up quite a lot over the last 6 years...

  • Dissapointing to say the least, the more things change the more they are the same. It feels like 2011, 2012, 2013 all over again.
One of the wealthiest clubs in the comp and we cannot even get a half decent back up playmaker for 5 years. I just do not know why it's so hard to run a semi competitve football team.
As a parra fan since 1977, every year starts with promise and after round one I was so excited, as I thought we had finally turned a corner, but it was not to be.
I hope the boys show up and win on Saturday and it does not turn into a 48 zip thrashing as it was when Luke Kelly last played against the Warriors.
It's mid May and we are already looking to next year. That's life as a parra fan.
    Diabolical no, incompetent yes.
  • Get a grip and stop the panic attacks
There is not much difference between winning and losing
We are losing because of a small number of things we need to fix
I am glad we are losing because that should make sure our deficiencies are acted upon
    We need
    1. A more appropriate captain
    2. Halves that can convert good field position and maintain possession
    3. A reliable goal kicker
    4. A quality fullback
With Foran coming we just need decent half back that has a good 5th tackle/ short kicking game and can make sensible choices
And a quality back that can kick goals. If we had of signed Ashley Taylor and Gordon we would have been all set for 2016

I would also add in we need to retain our best juniors which may include Pauli
  • We are last in both NRL and NSW cup.
Yes. We are in a mess and it needs to be fixed.

Forget everything else except one thing.
Hire a professional defensive coach like John Muggleton.

Concentrate on defense only. Make stopping points the only priority.
Amazing the difference that it will make.
  • Did anyone actually expect us to beat Melbourne last week??

Personally going into the match I was thinking that I'd be happy if the boys put in and took it to Melbourne.  Here are the positives I took from the game.

1 - Hopoate had his best game in probably 2 years.  That chip he diffused showed his class.  He was also unlucky to be called back on a couple of touches that were called forward, one of which finished in a try that would have kept us in the game.

2 - Peats played direct and had the Storm struggling up the middle of the park even with our smaller pack.

3 - Wicks was hitting blokes hard all game.

4 - Morgan had a solid game and looks to have found a home on the wing.  He does not need to pass to the winger if he is the winger!!

5 - An injured Semi still gave us strong kick returns and if not for an ankle tap would have given us another classic Semi try.

Maybe I have my unicorn hat on but it just seems as though there are plenty of signs that show we are almost there.

Once Junior is back we will be a different side.  I wonder how long BA will give him in lower grades to get fitness up.  9 weeks is a long time to go without a run.

    • Going in to the game, Yes, I actually thought we could win that game. I am about as pessimistic an Eels fan as you will find, but even I had a feeling with the side we had last week we would beat the Storm. And we led up until just before half time... It's the bad fades in the 2nd half that are killing us. That can't be fatigue, it has to be mental...

    • Haha surprisingly enough, most people on this site are delusional and had us beating Melbourne. We have been terrible for years but they will never learn and continue to have a false belief that we are going to be competitive. A great team like Melbourne is honestly better than ours in every single position yet people on this site were saying "I am very confident that we will win this game" or "Parra by 20". It's ridiculous! It's good to be optimistic but sometimes we have to be realists and admit the fact they we are a very poor team who has a long way to go before being considered anything close to top 4 contenders.
