I think we are in for one? Reports were we have gotten one? But all quiet on the western front at the moment.
I think we get either a middle or edge to start and Williams fills in where needed. Davvy Moale was told by Souths that despite agreeing to 2026 deal he is free to move on. I would like to get him over.
I think our major concern would be a middle forward. At the start of the season I'd have wanted another backrower. However Kitione was rapidly improving before injury so another pre-season will help. Jack Williams has shifted well to the backrow and provides his best value there. Kelma Tuilagi is not a player I have particularly liked, however he is beginning to improve and remove those really poor errors and penalties.
Samrani's future is in the backrow and I've liked his contributions there. Then you consider a few juniors coming through and I don't think you want to close their development pathway.
"@Frank The Tank
Tank there is no way Newcstle would invite a coach with two sons in the side.
I find it hard to believe that any NRL Club would invite such a scenario, especially when neither son is a walk up for Reserve Grade, let alone First…"

We should still look for a X factor 2nd rower if one becomes available

I like them as our two options. Then the talent coming through the backrow in the juniors is great.
Them two, with Samrani and Tuilagi, are enough for 2026.
We'll see how Samrani goes next year, and Tuilagi, as both have contracts finishing by end of 2026. Think we'll keep Samrani, release Tuilagi.
Then one of, or both of Funa-Iuta and Latu would have hopefully staked a claim by end of 2026. Then Williams can move to the middle.
Need to see a bit more of Kitione but he was improving every week before his injury
We have a few rated juniors as well I think we should just look for an elite prop and a centre for now
Elite centre, middle and 5/8 are our options. Williams could definitely go to middle if required. I feel we have a lot of middles at the moment
I hope we get a 5/8 fromt row forward n centre

Aren't we getting that forward school kid from brisbane
He is probably like all our current juniors. They always seem to be 1 or 2 years away from being good enough for FG.
