Archer, Hayne to ref grand final

I think both these referees have copped us cheap penalties in the past few weeks..... Now we are playing against the storm and the referees.REFEREE Tony Archer has warned Melbourne and Parramatta to not be surprised if an eight-point try is awarded in Sunday's NRL grand final.Archer was named today along with Shayne Hayne as the referees for this year's decider - the first to use the two-referees system. And the 2007 and 2008 grand final referee said he and Hayne would have no qualms awarding a potentially match-deciding eight-point try if the situation arosehttp://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/sport/nrl/archer-hayne-to-ref-grand-final/story-e6frexnr-1225780791068

Have been reading this all year and have just joined........awesome job!!

    And yes Archer=Useless
  • Yaeh it's hard not to get the impression that Archer's reffing style doesn't suit our playing style. I wanted to sniper him a number of times last week...
  • GOSH is everyone out to destroy the EELS.. what are they thinking......letting archer referree the game.........ugh!!!!
    this is a mess
  • Referees are bound to play a role in deciding the game, with out teams desperate to control the ruck. All I can say is 75,000 Parra fans will (at the least) keep the referees and touchies very honest
  • Tony Archer I'm not sure if u are aware of this but the focus of the GF is on the teams...not you. This is his way of making sure he gets some media attention.
  • HAYNE vs HAYNE - SPOOKY OOOOOOH

Archer is very much a 'don't lie around in the tackle' no holds barred stickler for a clean ruck. We'll just need to keep it squeaky which i honestly believe has been a big contributor to our success in the last few months.

    Not phased by this appointment.
