  • Funny u should mention this cos, I woke up this morning from the strangest dream, I was in the biggest army the world had ever seen, as we were marching as one, on the road to the Holy Grail.... We started out seeking fortune and Glory, it was a short dream but it was a hell of a story....

Worst part was we ran into millions, but nobody got paid!

  • As a very brief overview, around 1100 ad the Byzantine Emperor, then still the head of the whole ChristianChurch ordered the pope to send some trained soldiers to help defend the eastern borders against marauding Muslim forces. The knob head Pope took it on himself to sell the demand for troops as a holy duty to defend Christiandom, promising salvation, and more importantly, plenty of rape, pillaging and lands. Most nobles unless they were the eldest sons had no inheritance to look forward to,so their only career options were the Church or the military. They jumped at the chance to slaughter under divine authority.Only problem was they usually did not bother to check whether it was Christians or Muslims they were slaughtering. The idiots ended up sacking Constantinople in 1204.An event which weakened the Byzantines to such an extent they never fully recovered and were ultimately conquered by the Ottoman Turks in 1453.None of the Crusader kingdoms outlasted Constantinople for very long and the returning Knightly orders such as the Templars, the Hospitallers and Knights of Saint John went on to help create Portugal,Malta and even to the present day,we are still paying for events that happened nearly a 1000 years ago. There were Crusades organised by the Teutoberg Knights against the pagans in what are now the Baltic states of Latvis,Estonia and Lithuania.
