What do you say fellas? I reckon players are worse the first week back following a rest and then really hit their strides 2 weeks after the rest. That being said I believe we rested the players one round to late and although we won maybe it would have been better to have given the players a hit out before the finals.

Aracom we werent playing good enough to rest players prior to last week. Had we not won last week we would have no confidence going into the finals and no hope. Now we have played ourselves into form we are a chance of doing something. Personally i wouldnt rest anyone because I think beating the panthers and playing good footy again would be a great way to hit the finals. But hoping BA knows what hes doing.
I also would have liked to seen us build on last weeks game and gather some more momentum.
I know BA had a pre conceived plan of resting the players this round but sometimes you need to adjust and this time I think he should have only rested the big fellas or any one carrying an injury.
I said earlier in the year that we would need to rest players to avoid fatiguing and well well well what happened. Lets hope that Waqa improves after a rest.........hmmmm.
lol. Are you not a doctor? Can you fix it?
HAHA
We can't play finals for 6 weeks straight. After beating the Storm there's no doubt that confidence is back. Round 25 means nothing in terms of ladder position. Finishing in 5th or 6th means we won't get any week off during the finals campaign (Unlike 1st and 2nd if they win Week 1). BA needed to make a call here and I think it's the correct one.
As I said, we can't play finals games for 6 weeks straight. I don't think any side can do that without dropping a game. I think BA has given his side the best shot to play 4 weeks of intense footy if they're good enough
I think we've been resting players for the past month training wise and they haven't been going flat out on the feild until last weekend. I reckon the timing is right and 14 days is enough for professional athletes to recover from any niggles. We shouldn't be peaking for the first semi anyway and risk management for not peaking in week one of the finals is a good risk looking forward.
Nope.
If Penrith lose players to injury this weekend everyone will be saying BA made the right move. We will have our best 17 ready to go in week one of the finals bar Sivo and that is the main thing. Paul Kent thinks it is the wrong move but if we played our top 17 he would of said that was the wrong move. Only time will tell but I agree with BA giving a few other guys a game just in case we do lose someone in the finals. The storm win gave the team heaps of confidence but even if the team named lose to Penrith I don't think it will dent the confidence at all because lets face it, Penrith should win by a big margin fielding their best 17 against our reserve grade team.
Go the Mighty Eels, Give it to them on the weekend and their confidence will be shot.
Sorry Brissy, How could I forget the tackling machine so soon.
