I mean you cannot doubt effort, he has it. He was good tonight. It is a burden as his pay cheque dictates to many he should be doing more than what he actually doing yet he was still good tonight. I want to see him under Ryles before passing complete judgement on him. A new voice and new assistants as well could do wonders for him or could just show he is not the player we thought.
He can't do too much, slowest backline in the comp, sub par forwards.
The fact people only get to post these " rub it the haters faces " threads every 4 or 5 weeks says enough . Tonight he busted his arse and played like multi million dollar 5/8. Good on him. Could've done with it at the end of last season , would've played semis . Few games this season played like tonight and we may not be battling for the spoon.
But tonight , both him and Gutherson can hold their heads high.

He was our best, lots of effort off the ball particularly in shutting down line breaks. I feel for him as our outside backs were doing nothing. Thought Russell had one of his better games on the wing and am glad the centre experiment with him is over.
Not much you can do when you are the only half in the squad.
Asi was just terrible and had no place being there.
I know Sanders isn't great and is leaving at the end of the year but he is a genuine halfback whereas Asi is nothing.
