We are losing quite a bit of talent this year are ther any younger players that may fill the void? Need some backrrowers and another prop off the bench.
Another outside back Dunster will return so that's a bonus.

I think we might sign tapau, and murchie(if hes not confirmed already). Not sure if we are in the fight for klemmer. But hopgood looks verry promising i cant recall but i think he scored a double in the gf, could be a verry good find and if he gets regular minutes im tipping for rookie of the season.
Ive liked what ive seen from sean russel, but if i was at the club i would be enquiring about the hammer. Cant make the starting team for the cowboys and is wasted on there bench. Furthermore i would be putting bombs up to waqa all off season if he cant catch by the start of the season, put sean russell on the wing and piss waqa off. Liability at center with shocking defence and liability on the wing with his inability to catch a high ball.
As far as I'm aware, the Eels are banking on Toni Mataele (backrower) to be a first grade player at the club. Haven't seen much of him but he played in our Cup side towards the back end of 2022. He will debut in 2023 if everything goes well in the off season for him.
I don't think Parra will sign anyone new for next season.
Trying to play around with some numbers to work out our cap space, I may be way off on the figures I have.
Anything in black is what I found on websites for salaries and red is assumptions.
My calculations we may have around 600 to 700K to spend for next year? I think with this we could split this value and add it to the min wage of 2 of the last 4 players on this sheet and pick up 2 x decent players for 450K for next year and the year after.
We need to get rid a Nathan Brown, I love him but dont get the value for what he is paid.
Personally, if I'm Parra, there's no way I'm giving Mitchell Moses $1 million. He had his chance to secure that by winning the Grand FInal and it didn't happen. Until he wins a Grand Final, Salary stays the same. If I'm being honest, I don't think any other top NRL club would pay him that much and Mitch is a competitive guy, he wouldn't go to a crap team.
With the $1 million tag it will just come with extra pressure because you know Journo's will run the story all the time. He's already failing to deliver under the current pressure. Why add more?
Agree 100% if we can get away with paying under $1 mill, but with the salary cap increasing so does the wage expectation.
If what I read is correct Cleary $1.3 Mil, Cherry Evans $1.2 Mil, Brooks & Ben Hunt $1.1 Mil, Munster $950 etc I think we will have to pay arounf the $1 mil mark
There are probably 13 other clubs who would give him one million. Do you understand that our forwards had the shit kicked out of them and didn't go forward. And when that happens not even Andrew Johns or Cooper Cronk could win games
"I would prefer to play them round 1 than 6, given the changes they are experiencing, really what difference does it make unless you people are worried about us winning and then being complacent about our second game?
Now, that sounds like the Parra…"

Maybe some History Lessons could be appropriate PF.
It seems appropriate that you have chosen Mick Ennis as your Avatar, he tends to waffle on with a pile of verbage without really saying anything!"

Looking at this squad it's got me stuffed how other clubs fit all their players under this cap.
Some sides are heavy with talent and yet have no issues.
Dave Hollis has been released . So that gives us a bit more.
