Any one else smell a rat?

I don't give a stuff about any board or member of it, but I can smell a whole nest of rats! It's almost like someone has wrangled, leaked and manipulated the whole situation to discredit the current board and the success the team is having under their leadership.Third party deals happen in every club at not quite "arms length" whatever that is supposed to mean. The board were given the results with no where near enough time to refute or challenge it without making themselves look bad. I.e. Hold black the decision from the board, then make the only way forward for the team, players and fans (12 from 15 wins) depend on their deregistering. It seemed strategically timed and engineered to make their position indefensible whether they are actually guilty or not.Watching a slimy ex Eels dictator trying not to smile while gloating about the whole thing ( I'm sure everyone can work out who I'm talking about) was sickening, can help but think he and his cronies are behind the whole mess

  • I agree......this is still being played in the media. Greensburg wasn't seen before but now on a media bliss.
There is wrongs no doubt but seems trial by media.
  • How the fuck did Gerard survive?? Grants mate and on the board NSWRL??????
  • And now they have won their court injuction, protecting themselves and in the meantime the team plays for no points whilst this proceeds.
Seems to me it has come from nowhere fast and the idea of board stepping down reduced fine we'll that all dissapeared.
  • Maybe we paid too many overs, if we were truly that far over the cap, how the frig did we get the wooden spoons?

It's like there's two comps, the teams that know how to get away with it fight for the premiership, the rest fight to avoid the spoon!
  • No, but i smell a Turd.

  • Was like a weird staged election interview wasn't it?

Totally agree the club were given no time at all to review and without a board who'd do it? Think ppl are quick to presume that it's self interest,, (they would be fully aware their positions will be untenable) but they the players and fans absolutely deserve the right of reply, in fact I'd be more psd if they didn't review.

It also seemed to me in Turds statement that he welcomed discussion with him. Every single aspect of how this has been designed and delivered down to handing the papers just prior to the agm (enough for one day you'd think) proves that to be an out and out lie.

kinda makes you wonder how long they were sitting on the decision and how long was spent perfectly timing everything else about it?
    • Last time I checked.....punishment is supposed to HURT

that's why it's not called an ice cream sundae

Punishment is the authoritative imposition of an undesirable or unpleasant outcome upon a group or individual, in response to a particular action or behaviour that is deemed unacceptable or threatening to some norm.

The unpleasant imposition may include a fine, penalty, or confinement, or be the removal or denial of something pleasant or desirable.

      Deterrence (prevention)

One reason given to justify punishment is that it is a measure to prevent people from committing an offence - deterring previous offenders from re-offending, and preventing those who may be contemplating an offence they have not committed from actually committing it. This punishment is intended to be sufficient that people would choose not to commit the crime rather than experience the punishment. The aim is to deter everyone in the community from committing offences

      darkness & chaos indeed !!!!

    • There was so much misinformation and speculation leading up to today, leaks from "very reliable sources". If the NRL had to trawl through 700k documents over a number of months why wouldn't they demand during the process that the Parramatta club participate in the process, which the NRL states they wanted and our Board state they were denied from the process.
There is something very smelly in all this and I'm not prepared to point the finger just yet at who "dealt it"
  • sorry dude its tuesday, not sunday
