  • On Fox Sports news today Kearney said that he will definitely be talking to Orford
  • Surely not. As a fanatic this can not eventuate. Worse case scenario is use our own current resources to solve the 6 & 7 problems. And that option would be 100 times better than Mr Slow and Mr Unreliable.
  • I agree Hindys Heroes

    Orford is no messiah

I think SK should persevere with the options already here at 6 and 7 which are plentiful. It might just be a matter of being more effective in keeping Mortimer out of sight of backrowers running at him all day which Melbourne seemed to achieve with Cronk.

    Leave Orford be
  • but our current halves could be quite easily given those nicknames

mr slow - robson and mortz - mr unreliable
  • I'd rather have Luke Burt at 5/8 and Tom Humble at 7. Persist with what we have and purchase a quality back rower and centre.
Other options for the halves are Hayne & Humble or Hayne & Murray even.
If we dont get Orford please do not go near Sherwin, Smith or Gower.
  • i dont know how you lads could go through another season watching those same halves again, fck me this season took years off my life through frustration. I would have Orford here in a heart beat.
  • Agree 100% postcard. We need an established halfback, not the crap we had to put up with last season.
    • I don't know why people don't like orford. He is a true professional. I've said before - watched him train with the Eagles at Narrabeen and he put other players to shame - he led the way off the paddock and he offered direction on the field at both eagles and storm
      • hell yeah what cant he do m8? Great kicking game good direction thats enough there not counting the fact he can kick goals and tackle.
        • ive also watched him train with manly at narrabeen (the year they won the comp)They were doin a ball work session. He is a little general, barking orders and directing the rest of the team around the field. Exactly what we need

No idea Poppa. But hopefully he is our next Radradra. He only played 35min of HM this season in round 1 due to injury. Was a real shame wasnt able to see him play more. The SG ball backline next…"
