ANY MORE SIGNINGS???

I've been frustrated recently about the work we have been doing in the open market. Jonah's alright for a year and JDB is solid but he's getting old. I feel we need more in the forwards and some a replacement outside back. All I have seen is links towards Brian Kelly which is exciting but if we want to become premiership contenders were going to need more bigger name signings. The rumours about Keoan Koloamatangi have gone silent recently but I hope were still pushing to get him as I think he's the sort of forward leader that could push us that extra step.

As for that I haven't seen any strong rumours about players linked to our club, and I feel the club needs to be doing better. I think we still need atleast 2 more signing coming into the new season so is there any rumours that any of you have heard of? I'm genuenly confused about how JR is going to take this club forward with the amount of players getting sent out the door and the minimal amount of players coming in the door.

  • Bit like asking we going to win the comp this year

    Unlikey but not impossible.

Being Facetious aside we will make another signing or two, the quality of them though unsure

  • Agree it's very frustrating. It seems it's always the same at Parra in regards to signing and exciting players that give Parra that real premiership threat.

  • We signed big names back when we had illegal TPAs. We got Foran, Jennings and Scott in a single offseason.

When the TPAs disappeared, the recruitment slowed down. It explains why a handful of clubs are always at the top though hey?

    • Foran was a waste of time, Jennings was good value and Scott ? Don't recall Scott so he must have been incredible

      • Beau Scott had 2 good years and helped reshape culture at the time and bridged a gap till players came in He was a leader.

        • Yep Beau Scott was good

      • Foran at the time at signing was the right thing to do. Nobody could foresee the issues that were presented.

Watmough on other hand was incompetence giving him 4 years.

        • LB , I apologise for using your name. I'll admit it was a little childish.

Yes the Watmough deal is what happens when clubs get desperate. Foran also was on close to a million which was top tier money at the time.

Sometimes, you just need to trust in development, not entirely,  but when clubs go way over the top in recruitment payments,  it generally doesn't end well

With Kolomatagi,  I'd pay overs .  With Paulo a year or two away from retirement,  our young players won't be ready to take over his role. We really need to all out to a degree

Restarts are worse than penalities as there is no break in the clock, and no time to reset the defensive line, creating a vicious cycle of momentum and fatigue.
