I still think it likely we'll pick up another centre. From my quick research, these are probably the only blokes I can see who might be options. If you know of any others (or if these blokes have been picked up by someone else already) throw them up
Paul Whatuira - Has had some troubles but no doubting he's pretty talented. Would depend where his head is at.
Marshall Chalk - I rated this bloke at Canberra and I'm surprised he hasn't done more. Released by the Titans and can cover a few positions.
Josh Graham - I think he'd be an option because while nothing flash he's a big boy so could prove a solid defender and swap with say Walker in attack/defence.

Out of the 3, I'd probably go with Marshall Chalk.
He really came out all guns blazing for the Raiders when he burst onto the scene, but we haven't seen much of him since. Still though, the potential is there for him to become a solid centre, and retain a first-grade spot.
Didnt he play a couple of games late this season that just passed ? I think he may have filled in when Preston was injured and had a pretty strong game and I think he may have scored a couple of tries too. And i remember the commentators saying how good will he be when he gets fitter as I think he may have been returning from a pretty long stint out with injury himself at the time.
I would be happy if we signed him. Chalk would become the 3rd ex Titans player to join us in 2011 if we get him. The Titans snatched 3 or 4 players from us for their first season as the Titans a few years ago.
To be honest EATW, I can't say for sure.
I know that he did move to the Titans, but after that I'm not sure how many games he played for the Titans.
1Eyed can you comment on any of these off contract players, or are any of these worthwhile options? -
Dean Whare is impressive.
Marshall Chalk was a good player for the Raiders. Could play fullback, wing, centre or in the backrow. Very reliable but I think he is closing in on 30. I think we have enough veterans.
David Milne would be a great option. A very speedy winger/fullback. Would be Raiders fullback if Dugan wasn't there. Only young too. Gotta feeling that the Raiders have just re-signed him though.
Surely Souths are going to be overflowing with centres when Inglis gets the green light. Him and Champion will be starters. That leaves Toyota Cup stars Farrell and Vaivai with nowhere to go. Surely Souths will be looking to offload someone. I know Vaivai's name has been mentioned. He would be the guy I would be going after.
How about Misi Talupapa former sharks player. We should have signed Blake Ferguson.
With Blake Ferguson's attitude, no thanks.
Paul Whatuira - would be a great acquisition for any club. He was a solid player at the Panthers and Tigers, and still has a few good years left.
He has good combination of aggression, skill and speed. Knows how to find the tryline, and excellent on his feet.
