I saw Lussick point to a damaged knee, and Watmough got up very gingerly holding his shoulder after a hard hit,Has there been any official word from the side regarding injury concerns?

They were all at the Fan Day this morning, all said they will be right for Round 1
Kenny Edwards said he will be back fo Round 20, spoke to others who said it would be best if he basically missed the season , big crowds attended, we are a very well supported club that is so obvious. The coach was pretty unimpressed with yesterday's effort, said he will tell them to lift their game.
NYC and Wenty staff said that yesterday showed exactly where they need to improve, in that sense it was a good hit out, but far too many basic errors
I spoke to Arthur and he said he was glad we came away with a win but as you've said still need to lift certain aspects if we're to compete for the full year. He was happy with the physicality and the speed of our defensive line and there were times there where we limited Penrith's gain to a very small amount which was pleasing to see, also we put on some big hits that stopped the Penrith player's dead in their tracks. As has been said by many our attack needs improvement but I think we'll naturally improve when Sandow comes back, when Peats is back at full strength, and when Takairangi takes the field. But we'll still need some players to step up what they're bringing to the table.
He was also happy with the way Matterson and a few of the other young guys handled themselves when they were brought into the game and was excited by the fact that we only conceded 1 try whilst we had 10 "Wenty" players on the field.
That's funny, coz the guy in front of me today asked Edwards how the op went and he said great, I will be back in round 15!! That's the quickest acl recovery I've ever heard of. Funny how he told you round 20 haha
I spoke to Kenny today for quite a while as we were walking out of the fan day. He told me that he opted for a different kind of surgery. A 'Sonograp…

What a strange dude. He definitely said round 15 to the guy in front of me because as the line moved up I was directly in front of him as he answered him. I reckon he's gone for the season and just changing his story every time for a laugh with the other players. I was led to believe the "quick fix" acl surgery was for lighter players in more athletic positions that don't have the gruelling pressure of multiple players on their backs at times. It is often the chosen surgery for gayfl players and I think luke covell had it done as well.
Saw the highlights NRL game, I know we didn't have Sandow there but will need to lift. The defence on the edges still poor, most Penruff trys down our edges, & they had more variety in attack, particularly the short kicks which caused us some heartache. The ruck penalties raised some eyebrows as couldn't see what for.
We also need to give more cover (without penalty) to person taking high ball as prevented most times from taking clean catch.
I know only early in season but can't see Penruff as top 4 on that effort.
Ham do you know who no.25 was on late in match but looked big unit.
"Rather Samrani! Does seem odd given the speculation of swapping him for old Barnett. Penisini can be really great at times and then really off at other times. Samrani has been very impressive and seems very strong and determined which is what Parra…"
"I really like Samrani but if JR decides to give him up for MB I think that is a massive mistake.
IMO Samrani should be 1st drop for either centre/ wing if one of our starters is out. Brian Kelly is bog average and not going to get better.
Samrani…"
