Is it just me or does anyone else fail to see what Watmough has bought to our club ?? I know he is senior, played for Blues, won premierships and played for Australia but right now he looks clueless and well out of the groove. If he is adding leadership I can not see this reflected our results so far. So far I see a string of bad decisions, stupid early tackle and appauling field position penalties and not a whole bunch else. Maybe it's time for him to have a run around at Wenty so he can reconsider his role and contribution he is making (or not) to the current EELS squad. Whilst he is playing for Wenty I think Joesph Paulo may as well join him and they can maybe learn a little about committment and smart play form our young guns. The season is rolling on and very soon we will be at a point of no return so may as well bite the bullett now and give some of the guys who WANT to play 1st grade a crack.
I'll probably get a pounding for saying this but what the heck just one old supporters opinion.

Watch how our line speed changes when he's on and off the field. There's a clear difference. I didn't think he had a bad game against Brisbane. Apart from the laziness on Milford which was disappointing, he did his job near perfectly. Ran the ball through the middle, stopped ball playing and didn't attempt dumb offloads. BA is trying to change an entire culture of a club, that doesn't just happen overnight. Watmough is just one part of a big change in attitudes, hence the signings of Foran and Scott.

I think it is quite clear that a lot of fans are disappointed in how Watmough has gone so far. Also quite clear is he himself is disappointed. He is taking awhile to transition into our club I think.

I've been supporting the EELS for 55 years so I'm very familiar with needing patience !!! we are running out of rounds and need to change something soon. As the old saying goes "doing the same things and expecting a different result is the first sign of maddness" Maybe a week or 2 out of 1st grade will give Anthony some time to reflect on where he hid his mojo. I would like nothing more than to have to eat my words but so far AW's value is yet to become apparent.
Correct most of us are VERY dissapointed with AW so far.
The National and SOO teams are on a completely different level... He is transitioning down at the moment.
