    • Yeah dave z scoop of the century. Good sauce who confirmed it first months ago. Give us a hint about sauce come on. There has to be some kind of booby prize for dave z any suggestions?
  • Where's the link? Is this from a brothers mate who knows a guy at the pub who's dating a girl that works in the Brazilian waxing salon?

    • Agree with Slip there DaveZ, who or where's your source?
    • Slip dave z confirmed it months ago and has not changed his story one iota from day one. His sauce isn't Rons or snakes male order bride from Cambodia. Nor is it Fongs chicken he has now pulled from between his but cheeks. He's been wearing a orange jumpsuit for months give him some credit. Scoop of the century
  • Good call daveZ.
I had the same info on him 3 months ago. Parra matching his current manly contract. He is unhappy with management. They want him out as well. Nothing to do with cherry. But thats what manly want everyone to think. Foran or Cherry will be next. Matai to warriors and stewart to raiders on big money. Manly have to rebuild next year. With an old hooker and aging lyons. Manly will be lucky to make the 8 next year.
    • So we are paying the rumoured 900k for his last year? You're joking right?
  • Yes he defintaly will be here.
  • I would only sign him for two years but.
  • This is what I've been fearing.  No way is Watmough, with a young family, going to shit-can close to a $1m paycheck for 2015 for a paltry $300k contract at Parra.

And Manly aren't stupid enough to pay the majority of his contract next year AND gift a quality player to a competitor.

This smacks of complete mismanagement - imagine if we lose Pauli Pauli and a swag of young kids in the 20's because we signed a 30 year old on a $1m per year 3 year deal!!

    • I can only think of one forward we might lose because of this signing and that's Josh Aloiai, although he is still only 18 (turning 19) so by the time he's ready for first grade Anthony might already be gone? Outside of that we don't really have any major middle forwards, maybe Tui Kamicamica if he comes good or Tepai Tepu Smith. Alex Twal may be a smokie for first grade in a few years but at 18 this year he still has at least another 2 years before his physical side can match first grade.

I reckon we're paying $500k next year to Watmough. Manly have to pay at least $300k to him next year as that's money that has been post-poned, and then I'd like to think that they're going to put up another $100k, when in the grand scheme of things is nothing compared to $600k that Watmough was going to cost them next year anyway.

I reckon if Semi, Haynes or Sivo had persisted in the NRL we might be talking about them breaking the NRL try scoring record. I think Semi and Hayne were close to 1 try per game average over 100 games? Thoughts?
