  • It will be interesting to see how he goes this year

  • To be honest no i dont.

Regardless of the stories hes all rehabilitated and fit as a fiddle, you cant fully get rid of all his long term injuries this late in his career.

Hes taking up a big chunk of the cap and atm and not giving the sort of value that BAs looking for long term even though he has been instrumental to BAs plans i dont think Choc was hired with the intention of playing 4 years, he was always going to retire 2 or 3 years into this 4 year contract.

I dont think he will see this year out, if he does i think it will be his last.

If he sees the year out with no injury he will be the first to go to pay for Hayne.

    • Article about Penn and DCE stating that Manly couldn't wouldn't offer their old heads any position at the club after retirement.

I think apart from Chocs hatred of DCE a big reason he came to Parra was that he was offered a role in the club post NRL.

So to a certain extent I agree with Snake. Choc will more than likely retire after this year. Although I still think he has something to offer on the field. He was playing origin in 2014.

    • Wouldn't be surprised if he ends up as a member of coaching staff when he retires especially if BA is still here. Could be good to keep him in an off field role mentoring the young boys
    • Agree
    • 100% agree. I think (and a little bee has told me) that he will give himself the first half of the year to see how his body holds up. Wether it lasts the year or not, this will be his last season. Watmoughs signing was just as much about the winning mentality and attitude to training he could pass on to our younger players as it was to his on field leadership.
  • Hayne is coming back so no problems here.

    Not enough Hayne blogs lately.

[Edit] - his missus just knocked out a rug rat so he had to have something in him.

  • A buttplug?
  • No idea, one things for sure he was absolutely shite last year, he actually cost us games with errors and penalties given away.

If he says he was playing banged up and he is now better than I'll take his word for it and give him the first 5 rounds of 2016 to prove it.

  • Filthy minds think a like should be the correct quote, Wiz
