Can you believe it... Well you probably can. The event in San bernardino was appalling on a bunch of people with disabilities. What most don't know is that it was actually the international day for people with disabilities.. Shame. I also read today that it was the U.S.' 353rd mass shooting this year. You have to wonder howamy it will take before congress decides the NRA can get f****d. I think the worrying thing at the moment is that there is a lame duck president now and the 2 front runners for next year are both useless in their own right!!

The number of gun ownership rises after each mass shooting. The same lame justifications,"It is our right to bear arms,if you ban guns only criminals will have guns".The gun nuts always forget that nearly all of the mass shootings are with legally obtained guns. All those guns and I've yet to hear of one Rambo to actually do something usefull, like using their guns to shoot the maniac BEFORE THE BODY COUNT MOUNTS UP.
Good points. These mass shootings our usually by lone wolves who have legally bought there guns or obtained them in there family home. Typically, they profile as young, mentally ill, and with a loner personality type. You don't hear of criminal elements or drug gangs [the typical groups in society that you'd buy a weapon to protect yourself from], going on mass shootings in schools or colleges, malls and cinemas. Your other point also makes sense, they argue that they have a right to defend themselves, but you rarely hear of stories where individuals have successfully defended themselves in these situations with there own weapons. Most of the time, the perpetrators of these shootings have gone under the radar.
I agree snakey there is a bit of a difference there lol. I would put this to everyone..... If this kind of thing was happening inany other democratic country would the U.S. be jumping up and down about it? Let it be know in saying that I not anti US in fact I am an avid scholar of their history. However with the globalisation of information they are quickly gaining a reputation of hupocrasy...?
Wrong event for this argument
Most murders in US are because people have too easy access to guns
But this one could have been minimised if everyone carried guns because it was a terror attack and they could have been stopped if there were enough victims with guns
The explosives they booby trapped their house with were set up according to the Al Qaeda inspire magazine
They were on US and Pakistan watch lists
"I'd be interested to hear people's thoughts on signing a 31 year old prop coming off a full acl reconstruction in exchange for Lomax when the court case was only settled yesterday. Yeah great idea, we've just bought ourselves 2 years and blow it in…"

LOL Aaaaaah darks theres a bit of a difference there mate.
Well its not like Higher education is free in Australia either. We have to pay back our HECS.
Problem with that is that even 1% of population is 3.5m
3.5m make a lot of noise that politicians and tv takes notice of.
It depends how apathetic the other 99% are.
They need the 85% who want something done to be so noisy it drowns out that small noisy minority who are gun nuts
