  • I think this would have to be a first for us.

Parra is well known for having a big supporter base, probably 3rd in sydney behind souths and the dragons.

obviously Parra’s performace deterred everyone but the biggest factor is definetely not playing at our recognised home.

its just a shame that a team like the titans can get bigger numbers than us.

This result comes despite the eels recording their highest membership record of any season.

  • It's not just that we were shit this season. We play the most boring style of footy I have ever witnessed in 40 years of watching this great game.

I struggle to watch a complete paara game on tv, let alone pay my hard earned to go to the game.

Seriously, just sack Arthur the fool already and stop destroying the club any further.

  • The driver of low attendance is ANZ Stadium.

    No atmosphere..Dreadful transportation...Charge a fortune for parking

Ohh yeah and we came dead last...

    • Penrith should of been allowed to play at there home ground instead of anz. It's a joke of a stadium and, why would anyone go.
  • Parra have finished last just a few times before but the real story is that we've become fair weather fans who can't really throw barbs at Manly or Roosters fans about not turning up. Here's a list of average home crowds for the previous 15 years going back to the Brian Smith era with a couple of similar numbers to this year despite playing at Parra. We might have decent membership numbers but the number of full season memberships would tell the truth about our local fan base. I reckon there's plenty here who prefer to watch at home instead of going to the game. TV coverage has impacted us Westies pretty good.

  • Well how many games did everyone attend? I made 6 & that was hard coming from the central coast. I have to say, paying $70 for a 20m line seat is just ridiculous, how can families afford that? But in saying that, it was great being there to watch the Eels smash the Dragons.
    • av crowd 11000. lets assume all adults. $70 x 11000= 770.000

22000@ $35=$770.000  11000 more people to buy merchandise food beer drinks etc. no brainer

      • The club was being paid by ANZ. I think they only get money above the set payment if the crowd goes over some high figure.

    • Similar to me Tin Tin. Travel from the Central Coast to ANZ is awful. Went to about 6 games myself - and I’m (with my daughter and a friend and his son) a season ticket holder.

  • I vowed to never watch Parra at anz stadium again after last year , bar finals game , pathetic stadium
