  Whilst the Cross “ strip clubs “ have always been nothing more than a pathetic attempt to seperate fools from their money with little effort compared to the Melbourne and Gold Coast clubs , it’s sad to see the place being attacked the way it has . It’s always been an icon and a place to go for a bit of a laugh .  I hate this mentality that exists nowadays that if the police aren’t good enough or are under staffed  to stay on top of a problem the government  just legislate it from existence.  You can probably equally blame the bikies for the lockout laws as you can the governent . Since they run all the security and most of the clubs , they’re the ones that are happy to let people in to get as maggot as they wish on piss and drugs and then boot them out onto the streets when they feel they’re in the firing line of an RSA fine .

  Mate seen it 1000 times . Big wannabe tough guy bouncers let punters in and the bar let’s them drink a thousand beers as long as they do it in a few hours . Punter then is told he slured or stumbled and he’s gotta leave , punter disagrees as usually he knows he hasn’t and then he’s forced out and usually touched up by these gutless bouncers who can only hunt in packs , punter hits the streets pissed off about getting turfed for bugger all and getting a touch up and then wants to fight someone for pushing in front of him at the kebab line. 

  I really have zero sympathy for the clubs up there going bust , but it is sad to see “ The Cross “ losing its nostalgic glamour .
