So many blogs to the point of fatigue, but i love writing and getting things off my mind. On my recent blog i said something in reply to BE that i thought of and i believe to be a legit reply (no watch i'll look a fool and be abused badly haha). But what i said in summary was that even if BA pulls out some magic to make 2021 respectful of a finish i think for him in the long run it is better for him to go elsewhere and seek new challanges. Now he still has a challenge here at Parramatta by winning a comp though for him it is better to go to say Wests, or Canterbury or Brisbane. Can he build them up like we did to be competitive again? Was this a fluke job? is he nothing more than a Nathan Brown type team builder? or was he actually dudded here at Parramatta and better than i though he was?
I said i believe for however long he is here he wont win a premiership with us and we wont win one with him. By that i mean there's one of the other or both that is just not working to get to that next step, BA could go to Wests for example and do exactly the same as what he did here, have a team low on confidence with a losing culture and make them a constant top 8 prescence. Or it could go the other way and he fails (Wests isn't a great place for any coach to be fair anyway) or he dare i may say win a title there. It could be a situation of what BA is doing does work and didn't have the players behind him, or it does work but same as Parramatta just needs to try different things to get over the line, or could be it worked for Parramatta but not for Wests.
For BA he needs to do get out of his comfort zone more than what he does at Parramatta, new environment and go back to the pressure of this team doesn't make finals compared to this team doesn't win titles. For us fans it is also good and exciting for us to see something new, we head into a year with BA with excitement over new a season with a suspecion of the same thing going to happen, with a new coach it will be a case of no idea what is going to happen. Depending on who comes in it may be on the worse end of expect better straight away such as Bennett or Flanagan, one bad game at start of the year and they will be abused, where if we go rookie like Ciraldo fans may expect a little less but not be happy with the board for hiring a rookie. But either way there will be that unknown of how we turn out for better or for worse and we haven't had that in a few years.
In conclusion, Arthur would benefit with a fresh change, go to a new set of players who see his view as new and see results of his coaching, if it works than he can see his philosophy works, if not then he needs change, with us atm it is a case of well it worked enough to get us to top 4 it can still work.

LB i am by no means a unicorn but I am still holding out the smallest hope we can turn this around.
Michael Ennis said the other night that Cronulla lost 4 out of their last 5 games before going on a run in the finals in 2016. The Cowboys also finished 8th in 2017 and only got into the 8 because Saints choked in their last game of the season. They went on a run with no Thurston and made the Grand Final. You only need to win 4 in a row (yes I know it's against the best teams) but we almost pulled it off in 2009 and only got denied but those cheating bastards
I'm hoping against hope we can do something similar and Brad will have a statue erected in church street
Brissy, the only reason they hope for that is to force a change from the club.
No one wants to lose games. We desperately hope parra can turn it around and be good again. I have been hoping so every week but it keeps getting worse. I fantastised we would go on a run of 7 straight wins into the finals and win the premiership! I would love that! But instead we have lost 4 straight, each worse than the game before.
We only want the coaching system to be reevaluated and overhauled because the results we are seeing are not meeting our expectations of where we think we should be.
I would love to go on a run win a comp and then suck for 3 years after no problems I want that premiership.
I also want to believe the premiership dream is alive whitch is why if we finish as it looks like we will the idea of change is the light at the end of the tunnel
If we continue to suck and have no change then all hope is gone
We won't win another game this year, maybe the cowboys this week and that's it. I'd never want us to lose but the reality is that we probably will lose. This team is finished, mentally, morally, physically. Brad Arthur is so frikin stubborn with his coaching, structures and team selections that he has cost us...
Plain and simple. When it takes 1.5 years to figure out the right edge combo of Waqa blake and Ferguson is not working, there is clearly something wrong in your head. You don't have to be a rocket scientist..
Other coaches drop the axe and make them work harder to get back into the squad.
Exactly PP.
BA didn't try to fix the right edge in 2020 until the first week of the finals.
This was far too late.
I argue that if BA tried to address the issue in the first half of 2020, instead of at the 11th hour, we could have adjusted in time for the finals.
But the stubborn old mule wouldn't change his ways until it was too late.
FFS Brissey we get your point. I guess some fans are willing to take a hit to get rid of Brad. Thing is they don't have to hope we loose. The Storm and Penny's will be the END of Brad Arthur. Loose against the Cowboys and the announcement may be sooner.
I actually don't think they will sack BA any earlier than two weeks after the end of the year, it makes no sense when the semi's is a new ball game and anything can happen. I do want BA moved on though not letting him see out the year does nothing as, apart from perhaps Wests, we will have any competition for coaches, we will be able to get whoever is available that we choose. So no rush, see out the year, if you sack him before the end the season is 100% gone, atm it is 98% gone if you get what i mean, slim chance to turn it around but that slim chance is eliminated if BA is gone before semi's
My position at the end of last year was that BA had to improve our position.
That means final 4 or BUST.
If BA can make the final 4, I will begrudgingly say he can stay for 2022. If we lose first or second week then its GAME OVER BA.
If he can win the comp he gets an extension.
"The Storm and Penny's will be the END of Brad Arthur"
Graham those words would of ripped Brissy"s heart, be gentle next time choose your words carefuly .
Bet you we beat the storm again
