Back in February/March, Hull KR de-registered Michael Dobson because Willie Mason had issues with his Tongan visa and Dobson was injured for 8-10 weeks. So Dobson was de-registered so they could fit Mason into their international quota, and from what I understood that meant his contract was voided.
I'd like to hope that Parramatta were aware of this, and made enquiries about him joining us immediately. I'd like to think that either the de-registration didn't void the contract, despite reports to the contrary, or that Dobson was approached and indicated he wanted to see out his time in the ESL (despite having publicly stated that he was keen to return to the NRL).
I'd like to think that we didn't simply not know this was happening.
Anyway, Mason has since gone like a busted arse and Dobson is back from injury and he's had been re-registered by HKR and is playing again - its pretty likely that Mason is washed up. Because we wouldn't have missed the chance to sign this genuine half who was recently the number seven in the ESL Team of the Year, I'm sure of it. Surely?

Cronk being an Eel in 2012 we would have exceeded the cap.
