Annesley weekly review

Worth listenening to. My take home:

1. Forward pass mistake. Refs are human and make mistakes but mistakes are not random and are influenced by preceding events. That is why press conferences are important. They can set the media agenda that can have some influence. Also looking professional on field and having players the refs respect also make a big difference. These 50:50s turn games and influencing the ref is important

2. Hip drop seemed like it was borderline to me as Annesley said that accidents are a consideration. Good on BA for saying something this week. But the whole point of saying something is to influence the MRC and his comments maybe could have been better targeted eg accident. However, it seems as though it was unlikely to help with a high profile victim and a crusade against hip drops
