Anger management?----Have you ever thought about it.?

I think Brissies suspension has highlighted something we all struggle with -anger management. Maybe worth thinking about it for ourselves. We all can lash out at people with different opinions and values and some may say how we maybe have been programmed to see things eg Right and left in politics, Black and white with race, individualism versus community.{eg inequality} etc

When a conflict situation presents itself have you ever thought about what triggers conflict for you? Do you want to manage it? Is it manageable? How does anger make you feel--- How long does it last? The way you deal with it does it make you feel better? Is it a win-lose situation? Is there any room for compromise? Do you fight or flight?

For some our responses are instinctual for others there is patience, for some, there is trying to understand others' opinions.. Are our facts right?

Am I being rational? For me personally, this season's conversations on this site have had their ups and downs but were tolerable until the feeling that Nepotism surfaced. That has hit hard on me around issues of inequality. Have I got my facts right? I don,t really know if the player,s in the top grade seem okay with it maybe I was wrong with my assessments On the other hand I am not sure about other contenders for first-grade positions felt about judgments made around those selections. If you want to respond to this blog please don,t go over the same ground for the 100th time around views on nepotism. Focus on the values you have and how they have challenged your ability to hold onto your composure with managing anger disturbances that may have erupted within you It is about trying to better understand yourself. Can you see yourself ever understanding those roots and do you want to deal with them? I would imagine many will struggle with addressing those anger streams within you {I know I will} Trying to identify your inner core around anger and changing that I would think would be very difficult and may simply not be an issue for you

. We have some good role models on this site- those that come to mind that have good composure with balance around those disciplines are HOE ,NOS, Paull Taylor, and others. There are many others as well.

I do like people who say it as they see things and there is a great argument for those people to people to help us keep our eyes open and make us question everything thrown at us. Honesty the way people see things is a highly desirable attribute to keep us alive.

  • I am a scorpio tad - fiesty , fixed , passionate and advocate , I struggle with this

    but

my intuition is 85 percent bang on with ppl in my life due to great intuition and people skills so tis makes it hard as a lot of the time my anger and judgement is justified

I think a lot is personality , disposition and star sign

I'll put money the most easy going ppl on the site and best mods are : cancers pices Libran and Capricorn ??

    • Carlo, Both my daughter,s  are very much into Astrology They sent me this link which has really rattled me as the accuracy of this person's reading,s seem quite accurate. She covers Scorpio which may interest you.

Excellent point around having a healthy anger

    • Dan Andrews is a cancer so I wouldn't recommend them. I'm not really into star signs as I honestly don't think it's accurate although some character traits might be related. I mean some people read their star signs to see if they should go to the toilet. It's a bit far fetched. I had a boss who was a Capricorn and she was absolutely horrid. Had another boss who was a Libra and because this person didn't get what they wanted from me it made life difficult. Pisces are generally compassionate.

    • Long time lurker, we Scorps operate in the dark, our intuition is off the charts and we can be intense. Best and worst people you'll meet, other than Leo's!

I reckon you're an Eagle or Phoenix though Carlo, we bloody evolve mate and transform ourselves, I wouldn't want to be any other zodiac than Scorpio dominant placements

          • Nice to see you make your presence on the site Thelilrat. Grandmother's are great. I never had the pleasure of knowing mine

      • Zodiac signs are as accurate as finding a flea up an Elephant 🐘 backside

  • Look I think some get more wound up than others about comments or opinions we dislike - it's human nature to disagree but some can't accept it.

In this current economic, social and political climate, I think we need to keep things in perspective. Yes we have differences but when you look deeply at the differences you find that we aren't as different we think.

I always say the best thing that could happen to us humans is a catastrophe that unites us all. Say an alien invasion or similar. Now who would honestly be worried about petty things such as politics, or sexual preferences or pronouns? No one would have the time to worry about insignificant things like these - it would all be about survival and uniting as a species.
The best and the worst thing that happened to humanity is we have become too comfortable with our livestyles and probably bored with life.
If we could just accept others then all the worlds problems disappear almost instantly.
