Ando is a big fan of KK

This what Ando said about KK, and Sterlo thinks Mort will be better at 7.''I'm a big fan of Kris, and I value what he can give to us,'' Anderson said.''I wouldn't be surprised if, at some stage, Daniel Mortimer ends up with the No.7 on his back,'' Sterling told The Sun-Herald. ''If that is the case, whether it be this year or next, young [utility half Kris] Keating would be a good ally [at No.6]. • If Daniel's last name wasn't Mortimer I don't think everyone would be expecting him to be number 7 instead of number 6. Just because Steve Mortimer was a halfback doesn't mean Daniel should be one too. From what I saw in 2009 Daniel is a perfect ball running number 6.
  • Agree 100%. Admitedly KK never looked like a 7 either until he played 5 or 6 games str8 in that position but I donlt think Morts is a 7 within 18 months.
  • I said a few days ago here on another blog about Mortimer will be a #7... He has more qualities as a 7 than a 6.

I wouldnt be surprised to see Mortimer switching there through games, Mateo and Kris Keating will switch around at 6. Keating has a good running game, just he hogs the ball a bit too much, he blows chances sometimes trying to do too much....

Mortimer is a organizer, therefore that willl make him a good #7... Forget who his uncle is, nuthin to do with it.

Keating was one of best standouts in the trials, and last year before he got injured he was one of our most consistant. He will take up that creative role that Kevin Kingston did when he came on last season.
  • I'm so looking forward to the combination of Keating/ Mortimer leading us to big things. I dont thing it matters who is half or five-eigth, with both in the halves we are on to a good things
  • Wow, Sun Herald. Could you have ripped off my lead story any more than than.
