ANDO, GREAT SPEAKER WIN OR LOSE

Ando always expresses himself and his thoughts on the footy team very well, a great insight he offers to the fans with his predominantly honest opinions and philosophies on the game. He delivers nearly every time he is interviewed by the media, giving the fans a snapshot of his feelings on the game and any issues arising from the contest, as our coach I am proud to listen to his commentary of the game just played and footysides in general. Compared to some other boring as batshit coaches who offer nothing with their comments and lack of personality, essentially they impact on the games saleability as really interesting interviews can add an extra 15 - 25 mins of intriguing  viewing if done well, anyways GO YOU MIGHTY EELS

  • 100% agree well noted
  • I'm very proud to say he is our coach, and I honeslty wouldn't swap him for any coach in the world atm.

The bloke is very articulate and knows his footy, he copped a lot of critisicm early last season (and this year) but he has kept to his guns and now we are reaping the rewards. Ando never loses the plot and says outlandish shit like some of the other coaches constantly do. True professional and couldn't be happier we chose him.
  • Yep, agree 100 per cent. Ando is god. I believe he's going to be on NRL tactics this week, so thats going to be an absolute must-watch!
    • Looking forward to that for sure, passion and spirit are essentials in this great game we play, HUmble brave and solid for first game.
  • Did anyone hear Des Hasler whinging about Parra holding down Manly and slowing the play-the-ball. He said 'they were just lucky to get away with it on the night'. I hate it when a coach makes excuses when his team had every opportunity to win and didn't deliver. Thankfully Ando doesn't do that.
    • I think DA's press conference made Hasler sound worse than he normally does. I'm not sure how Manly are performing the way they are if Hasler's interpretation of the game was actually the way he saw it. But I think Lyons response in the press conference might have been closer to the truth than Hasler attempted spin - he looked like a player from a team who's coach had just given them a gob full.
    • Jesus Christ, has he seen Steve Matai play? Or Watmough?
    • Have you noticed that when manly start loosing they carry on like bad sports, just like their coach.
  • The reasons Hasler complains and Bellamy is the same, is they're exactly like 95% of the world, they complain when things don't go their way and have poor little old me sydnrome. They are reactive.

Anderson is in the 5% who don't. He doesn't make excuses, he finds way to turn weaknesses into strengths and you see that in the way the teams play has improved and they way he articulates himself in his interviews, he makes a lot of his counterparts seem childish. He is proactive. That is why Anderson is succeeding and that is why Hasler breaks doors.
