To be fair Moses does favour the right side as he is on that side. But yeah a cross field kick to the middle would add variety. TCT claim there is blocking on Lomax, well when you kick to him all the time it gets predictable and teams can know what is coming 3 plays in advance and prepare.
I have no problem with the tactic, just the application of the tactic. All teams have done their homework on Lomax and get plenty of players to the ball which makes Lomax's path to ball very difficult. AJ is a very experienced winger and was never going to be easy to get over the top of. Lomax should have been drifting in field and targeting Jye Gray more with the high kicks or even targeting the back rower and centre not AJ. Predictability is easy to defend.

I feel like the club thought they could just kick for Lomax and bam a try. Not sure they actually thought of a proper game plan or focused on accuracy of the kick enough. I feel it's a big reason why he is dropping a lot of those bombs. He can't get in a good position to contest. He doesn't have that freak ability to somehow hold onto it like he did at the Dragons last year
Clubs are trying to copy Storm and roosters with the kick for tall player but you need to actually place the kick near the in goal to make it effective. Right now Moses radar is way off

Zac has been awesome in yardage and off loads. However his error rate is very high. I think 5 this week. I can't understand the persistence to keep kicking his side. Last week we grubbered for fox for a try. We never went back to the well. We really need to mix up the kicking game.
Lomax, is a bloody great player for us, a natural leader in game play.
I think he is trying a touch to hard. He will make the Kangaroo tour which unfortunately means he is not going to have a great rest as he will be on train on squad as soon as our season ends.
Once upon a time a Kangaroo trip was the making of a player, over the years I saw good club footballers comeback as top class players but those trips may have had 15/20 games scheduled, these days its 3 test matches, in and out..... not sure of the value but playing with better players will only improve your skils.
