An assumed victory.....?

The word on the street is that we WILL win this match. I'm not liking this one bit. If we all remember getting rolled by the cowboys 29-0 a few years back you will see what i'm talking about. I think we will win, but i am worried if we come out with that attitude. We did get flogged 2 weeks ago 37-0. I'm not trying to be negative as i love the Eels and would love nothing more than this "unexpected premiersip" as they're calling it.Expectation is high on the Eels now and in the past that has not sat well with us. Let's just hope Daniel Anderson gets the boys prepped well and the blue and gold army get out in force to get us over the line....

  • i feel exactly the same way. I hate being the favorites. I just hope daniel anderson keeps them focused. very nervous!
    • Settle down Sinbad.... If you don't like my opinion don't comment mate.... I don't comment on your persistent "Parra 13+" blogs every week.
  • Relax, none of us is in the team and as long as the players are keeping level heads, as they have in the last 3 months to develop such excellent play, then they'll be fine. The older boys, Hindmarsh, Cayless, Moimoi, Burt, Grothe.... they've all been around a long time and can keep the others settled... Even Hayne and Inu have both had BIG match, representative and international experience. They'll be fine.
  • I think more the point everyone is underestimating the Titans. Prince, Rogers, Laffranchi, Bailey, Campbell, Harrisson, Minichello, etc. They are very established and experienced NRL players.......... We will need to be on our game!
  • Well said mate. I have been thinking the same way all week. I was guilty of under estimating the Titans, but taking a second look at it they have a strong squad. Having said that ,if we play our best football we will be winning. Having read DA's comments in the SMH today we will not be taking them lightly
  • That was then, this is now. The current team is on a roll and it's not unreasonable to predict that on form, they'll cut the Titans into sushi.
    Parra by 15.
  • im pretty sure with andersons experience as a coach he will make sure the team keeps a level head on their shoulders,he took the warriors within a whisker when they said he couldnt he taught st helens how to win again im sure he knows what hes doing and as for the players ok we all learn from our past and i am confident that this side that we have is prepared mentally and physically otherwise they wouldnt be here now contesting the final series of 2009 as sinbad stated" stats will be stats "
we can move foreward by learning from them and not repeating them
  • We are guarenteed a win. No two ways about it.
  • Yeah i agree, i live on the Gold Coast and they're geeing themselves up for a win up here. They reckon they are going to keep the ball in play and keep turning our big men around.
  • i do know what u mean.we have seen this happen b4.they must have their minds on the job or titans will get them
