All of our 2nd Rowers

We have plenty of 2nd Roers contracted next year it's not funny so at least parra have got plenty of depth there which is also good but we have to let at least 1 to negotiate.B ScottM Ma'uD GowerT MoeroaK EdwardsP PauliJ UalesiC NelsonI know that you will probably say that some can change to a forward for example Pauli or Moeroa but we have depth there with Mannah, Paulo, Wicks, Terepo & Alvaro so I expect that Edwards or Nelson or maybe both to find another club or play RMC. Also what about our talented young second rowers playing NYC like Aloiai & Fuimaono what about these guys they have so much potential it's not funny so we better not let them go. I think that it's time for BA to give youngsters a chance & to stop re-signing all these players who have peaked & are not fg quality like Gower & Nelson. As much as I like both of those guys it will be a waste to let go of Fuimaono & Aloai for these guys. Edwards, Pauli & Moeroa have not peaked yet & should be retained but the others should be let go. Except for Scott & Ma'u who are fg quality

  • I agree with most of what you have said. However I do not believe Cody has 'peaked' yet. The bloke has played one game for us and im sure would of played more if not for the salary cap. You can't really judge a player on one performance.

Gower is more often than not very good but it seems like since he got a new deal he has switched off. Struggled the last couple games. Thats not to say he has should be dropped he just needs to re focus.

    • Sure u can judge a player on one performance... Luke Brooks had a great 1st game for the Tigers and has built his whole reputation off that one game.

  • will I give you one more the chief think we are getting matt prior he plays 2rd row and prop

    • Hopefully not BA needs to learn to xperime t with these youngsters & to stop buying second rowers who have already exploded like Prior or Hasson I doubt we will sign those 2 anymore otherwise our RMC side will be premiers
  • Disagree that we need to let any go. We still have a lot of young players so we definitely need the exp. of Choc, Scott, Gower. The others are all relatively inexperienced. It will be good to have REAL competition for spots, with the possibility that players like Gower, Pauli, Seffa and Nelson will be in NSW Cup. We will have Choc, Scott, Ma'u in FG with probably Edwards/Moeroa off the bench. A nice pack with good depth is coming together for the first time in years, no need to get rid of anyone. The 20's boys are still a few yrs off FG and need to develop through Wenty.
    • Agreed. It is silly to suggest we need to get rid of players who will provide fantastic back-up just because they won't play first grade. If there're indeed as many injuries next year as there are this year guys like Nelson, Gower, and Edwards will be valuable to us. Especially as more than likely Nelson's money isn't Top 25 so until he plays first grade it doesn't count towards anything, by the time he's called up for first grade Aloiai may be ready for first grade and we can very easily put him in there.

  • Gower will be ahead of Edwards on the bench.
  • Seeing as Nelson isn't top 25 his money doesn't count towards anything until he plays a game. Both Aloiai and Fuimaono are in the same boat as him for the time being. Team-list time.

    8) Mannah 10) Paulo 11) Ma'u 12) Scott 13) Watmough 14) Pauli 15) Moeroa 16) Wicks 17) Gower for first grade

    8) Alvaro 10) Terepo 11) Nelson 12) Aloiai 13) Edwards

We can very easily play all of our first grade contracted players in first grade and reserve grade. No need to drop them to Ron Massey cup.

    • We can't have 3 2nd rowers on the bench Terepo will be on the bench we can't expect Paulo or Mannah to play a whole half of footy every week
    • 8 Mannah 10 Paul 11 Scott 12 Ma'u 13 Watmough     14 Edwards 15 Wicks 16 Moeroa 17 Pauli / Gower

      8 Alvarvo 10 Terepo  11 Nelson 12 Aloiai 13 Gower / Pauli     14 Ualesi  15 Kamikamica  16 Fuimaono  17 idk

"I agree. That's his role on the show - to be the contrarian! But I felt his performance last night had a bit more personal stuff going on. He got a bit agitated and so did Braith. I reckon something was said at the pre show rehersal.  "

"But, Blue Eel, according to TCT, it's been the toughest preseason ever and Matterson has trained the house down.
Kidding, fake news, but anyway has Matto been at training?"
