  • What does the little worm want this time?

  • PLC members were asked to vote for a change in the constitution.
The change would mean that any member who has previously been found unfit to be a Director of the club would be ineligible to stand for election ever again.
(without knowing the results of the vote) Almost certainly members voted in favour of the very logical change.

However, we now learn: The General Meeting has been postponed because a member of the Club applied to the Supreme Court of NSW for and obtained orders restraining the Club from proceeding until the issues raised by that member in his application to the Court has been heard and determined.

Oh gee, I wonder who this could be 🤦🏼‍♂️

  • Spagnolo, Hadley or The Emperor? could be any of them

    • Doubt it's Fitzgerald or Hadley. As far as I am aware, Fitzgerald hasn't been found unfit to be a Director. It would have to be Spagnolo, Sharp or one of the other five who were deregistered after the salary cap scandal.

      • Apparently ILGA never specifically made an adverse finding against Spagnolo since he was no longer a board member at the time.

    • It's Spagnolo.

      Spagnolo v Parramatta Leagues Club Ltd [2023] NSWSC 112 (22 February 2023)
Australasian Legal Information Institute (AustLII), a joint facility of UTS and UNSW Faculties of Law.
      • Having read the proceedings, it is for an interlocutory hearing to prevent the club from excluding him from the ballot at the AGM pending the outcome of the larger case Spagnolo brought in August last year when he was excluded as well.

His argument against exclusion is that ILGA never specifically made an adverse finding against him since he was no longer a board member at the time. As such, he is claiming the club has no grounds to exclude him.

        • He's so delusional to believe that even if he wins that anyone would ever vote for him.
Spagnolo is the Eels version of Tigers' Lee Hagipantelis.

          • You would think he would have better things to do with his time.

  • Surely Hadley would have been there protesting to get Fitzy back in, calling O'Neill, Sarantinos and Arthur dills in the process.
