Seriously, a good coach has to rip into his players at some point!!! When Manly lost to Parra years ago and Manly were leading I think 22-0 at one stage, but got run down, Hasler went ballistic. Hasler is GF coach on a number of occasions and a premiership coach. I'm not trying to have a go at BA, but should he always take the calm approach?

  • Our team is a bunch of babies with no fear of any of the couches of the last few years we need hard leaders on the field and hard decisions off.
  • Hillsong rules apply - no yelling or being angry... hugging and donations only.

  • Slip, were you impressed with Hasler's carry on?  Bennet's won more premierships than Hasler's ever likely to, but I have never seen him carry on with that sort of shit.  I think there's a lot to be said for 'poker-facing' for the cameras, and I probably consider that the more professional approach.

I'm doubtful that BA keeps much to himself when he has the team together, and the cameras are gone.  I think we got the tiniest indication of how he suffers fools during the interview in which he was asked about Jarryd Hayne by one of the journalists a few weeks back.

  • Yeah I remember going to that game, we won it through a forward pass from memory...... after the game at sterlo's bar everyone gathered together singing eagle rock with alternative lyrics.... very funny

  • I said that Fong when BA couldn't get the side up for Hindys and Burtys farewell game. I was torn to shreds for that comment.

You can tell a lot about a coaches ability when he struggles to get a side up for big games.

  • Des needs to get over himself. Dragons might win today, wonder if he'll remove that stupid 80's hair-do when he's done removing the doors off their hinges?
