  •  That`s what is  called, rubbing it in----big time! Did we ever give him a run in Ist grade? I saw Matty Bowen help Wigan get a win against Leeds on Fox yesterday. Lost a lot of his speed but still got his smarts. Jagged a try also.

    •  Forgot to mention Lee Mossop played for Wigan in the above match. With about two minutes to go Mossop was beaten pointless by the Leeds half five metres out from the Wigan try line. That drew up the match! Mossop was sitting on the ground holding his head with both hands!! Wigan got a late penalty to win the match. We did OK when Lee returned home.

  • Just frustrating. U have to query why some players r unable to perform at Parra then move on & perform at a higher level at another club. We saw another example last week with Justin Hunt. Played very well for the Dragons yet did SFA for us.

    • I thought Justin Hunt had a great year in Wenty.
He got called up and had a shocker and everyone called for him to never play First grade again. But it wasn't true to his form.
    • Yes, it is a quandary selecting players. I thought Justin would make it in 1st grade at Parra after seeing him fill in at Souths a couple of times. But did not appear to do too much in NSW Cup--I never saw him play there. But he was  OK last week  for Saints at full back and has been selected for wing this week.

  • That's what is called: a far inferior competition.

    • X2 and I saw matty bowen the other week have a deadset shocker. I just admit it was only the highlights/lowlights I saw on fox sports but man he had a shocker.
  • The kid is playing at a level far inferior to NRL, it's fair to say that the ESL is a fraction above state cup level... I wouldn't take a great deal of notice of how players perform over there
    • ESL can be entertaining to watch and you can find some talent there. However, the intensity is nowhere near that of NRL.
    • Oh absolutely ... But having known a few people involved with some clubs there I can tell you that there isn't a great deal of focus on defence there at training .. They've never moved on from a culture of fast open football which is what they've historically prided themselves on
